October 17 is general voting day for the 2026 Port Moody General Local Election
Saturday, October 17, 2026 is general voting day for Port Moody's 2026 General Local and School Board Election. Eligible voters who have not already voted by mail or during advance voting are reminded that general voting day is the last day to cast a ballot. Find everything you need to know about the election at portmoody.ca/vote. The City of Port Moody is holding a general local election to elect: one mayor for City Council; six councillors for City Council; and two school trustees for the School District 43 Board of Education. You can vote in one, two, or all three races – and you can vote for as many (up to the maximum in each race) or as few candidates as you like. It’s your choice! Elected individuals will serve a four-year term from November 2026 to October 2030. City councils and school boards make decisions on issues that directly affect you and your family, like utilities and roadwork, parks and recreation, community development, and the policies and budget for the local school district.
